September 21, 2021–WASHINGTON, D.C.—Yoga Heights, a DC-based yoga studio with locations at 3506 Georgia Ave. NW. and 255 Carroll Ave NW, announced today that they are expanding to a third location this fall at 905 U St. NW. The new U Street location will be the only studio in the District to offer Aerial Yoga, a movement experience like no other.

Suspended from the ceiling, a silk hammock becomes a prop to deepen your practice, your experience, and your sense of peace. Classes include options for movements and poses that are deeply relaxing, therapeutic for tight muscles, and strength building. Aerial yoga will be available for classes, parties, and private sessions.

“A 60-minute Aerial class is great because it gives experienced yogis as well as students with zero yoga experience the opportunity to play with yoga poses traditionally done on the mat,” says Jess Peirno, owner of Yoga Heights. “The fabric provides support for the body so that familiar poses feel totally different and accessible.”

The new location will also offer a wide variety of yoga styles, fitness-based bootcamps, yoga teacher training, and community events.

Yoga Heights’ U Street location will open its doors on Oct. 1 as part of a soft opening, with a limited class schedule. Yoga Heights is currently offering pre-opening sales on memberships and Aerial Yoga classes through its website at www.YogaHeightsDC.com.

Since opening in 2014, Yoga Heights has become one of DC’s favorite local yoga studios. The studio was able to stay open throughout the entire COVID-19 pandemic due to their quick adaptation to offering online classes, lots of hard work, and the constant support of their community of students and teachers.

“The fact that we are open and expanding is a testament to the sense of community that we’ve created at Yoga Heights,” says Pierno. “Our students love Yoga Heights and overwhelmingly supported our small business during the pandemic. We are thrilled to be able to expand and welcome even more people into our classes.”

Yoga Heights U St. is just steps from the U St. metro station on the green and yellow lines and is on bus lines 70, 64, and 79.

More information on class offerings, pricing, and events is available at www.YogaHeightsDC.com. For questions or comments, please contact Info@YogaHeightsDC.com or @yogaheightsdc on social media.

*All indoor classes at Yoga Heights require proof of COVID vaccination and masks.*
